Built on evidence, designed for the real world.

Burnout prevention for teams.

Most workplace wellbeing program treat burnout as a stress problem.

It's a system design problem.

TANK helps your organisation prevent burnout at its source — before it costs you your best people, your reputation, or both.

The risk of burnout is higher than ever — and harder to ignore

Legal Liability

Australian work health and safety law now requires organisations to actively manage psychosocial hazards. "We didn't know" is no longer a viable defence. Senior leaders can be held personally accountable.

Compliance Pressure

Safe Work Australia has identified construction, healthcare, social assistance, and public administration as priority industries for psychosocial risk management. The compliance bar is rising across all sectors.

Talent Drain

Burnout is pushing high performers out of the organisations that need them most. Replacing them costs between six and twenty-four months of their salary — and in healthcare, education, and professional services, the talent pool is already shallow.

Productivity Hit

Chronic stress measurably reduces output and decision quality. But the bigger cost is invisible: the erosion of the judgment, creativity, and care that make your best people valuable in the first place.

Burnout is a system design problem, not a personal failing.

When people burn out, the standard response is to help them manage stress better. That framing locates the problem — and the solution — in the individual. That's why it will never really solve the problem.

The Fuel-Gauge-Terrain framework is TANK's evidence-based model for burnout prevention. Fuel is the balance between stress and recovery. Gauge is your people's ability to read their own signals accurately. Terrain is the work environment — the conditions that make sustainable performance easier or harder.

Prevention that works has to address all three. Individual skills matter. So does the system those individuals are operating in.

Three ways to work with TANK

Different organisations are at different stages. We offer three entry points, each one designed to create real, measurable change.

Meet the team

Between us, we have close to half a century of experience building systems that work — and the lived experience of leading ourselves and our teams out of burnout. We start from a robust, integrated evidence base, and work with your organisation to build prevention into how you actually operate.

The Burnout Risk Audit is a free tool that helps you identify where your team's burnout risk is highest, and which levers are most likely to move it. If you're not sure whether the problem is load, recovery, or the system itself, this is the fastest way to find out. It will help you understand:

  • Whether your leaders have the skills to spot chronic stress early
  • Where meeting culture, workload distribution, or always-on norms are steadily draining your team
  • Which psychosocial hazards your organisation may be underestimating
